Star Island is going well this summer. Pretty mellow. I'm definitely feeling the age difference this year, as I approach my 28th birthday and the first-year Pels are 18. I've only gone to one or two parties this year, and don't find I miss them that much.

There've been a number of tall ships going by lately. Of course, it's always at times when I don't have my camera handy. The Harvey Gamage was out the other day, and last night two windjammers drifted by under full sail.

I've been doing a lot of gardening out here. The Pel Garden is growing like crazy. The bottom tier of the garden is almost impassable with zucchini, and my flint corn is over my head. There's a dedicated team of Pels who work on it, and it's really paying off.

Okay, so with the recent sustained LJ suckage, I've decided to take the plunge and at least set up an account here. Same name as my LJ.
